WELCOME

October 1, 2016

This informal "Design To Go" blog began in fall ‘16 as I departed for a yearlong, around the world Design Sabbatical, a break after more than 30 years as a Graphic Designer/Art Director in the museum world. It’s a casual record of my design-related findings on the road, and I found that what stimulates my design thinking is of interest to others. My goal was to return to SF in October 2017 inspired with fresh perspectives and energized to restart my design career.

I returned to SF one year, 14 countries and more than 230 posts later. I carried home a fresh international perspective, a grateful heart, and a back pack full of 176 collages. I decided to continue the blog and collage practice, partly in response to popular demand (featured by SEGD), and partly as a valuable way to continue to see and think. I am uniquely informed, open to new opportunities, and available as design advisor or consultant.
